GETTING TO NUSA LEMBONGAN

While we at Siren Diving are all mermaids and pirates, we know everything about travelling the high seas. We also know that all you land lubbers and non mer folk get a bit confused about where we are! We are on a small tropical island off the coast of Bali 🙂
We often get asked about the best way to get here so we decided to write a blog all about it! Here we go…

HOW FAR IS LEMBONGAN FROM SANUR BALI?

It’s very close, approximately 20km off the East coast of Bali. It takes 25-35mins by speed boat from Sanur harbour. Boats travel all day starting at around 9am and finishing at 5:30pm. If you plan on diving with Siren Diving then you will need to be on Lembongan the night before. As out boat leaves around 8:00 if you plan to dive with us as there is not an early enough boat from Bali or Lombok.

IS THERE A BUS?

Unless its the magic school bus then no!

CAN I SWIM THERE?

In short… probably not! Although one crazy guy did manage it, with a support crew and it took him a few attempts. This is not the way to go as you honestly won’t make it! The currents are very strong here! Not to mention Lembongan is defended by laser beam wielding turtles, (that may or may not be true).

CAN I SCUBA THERE?

While you can Scuba Dive once you are here, to Scuba Dive to the island please refer to previous section…

CAN I FLY THERE?

Unfortunately we are too small an island to have a landing strip. But… you can get a private helicopter to the island. Which is super expensive but why not?! Costs about $500-$1000

GETTING HERE FROM SANUR (BEST OPTION)

The speedboats boats leave from Sanur Harbour or Serangan Harbour. These are a 30 minute car ride from Ngurah Rai Airport.
We can assist with arranging door to door transfers for you. The price is 500,000 IDR per person for a return ticket, which includes transfers and boat travel*. You need to provide us with your flight details or your accommodation if you are already in Bali.
The boats from Bali to Nusa Lembongan leave at 8:30am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 5.30pm. Boats back to Bali are at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 4.30pm. Please allow a minimum of 2 hours from the boat time to when you need to be at the airport.
We can book this for you! Simply email us on info@sirendiving.com for more info.

GETTING HERE FORM GILI/LOMBOK

If you’re travelling from The Gili Islands or Senggigi in Lombok, Scoot Fast Cruises or Ekajaya have you covered. You can view their full timetable with prices on their website below.

GETTING HERE FROM NUSA PENIDA

If you’re in Penida then head to Toyapakeh Harbour and you can be in Lembongan within a 10mins boat ride. Boats departs every 10-30mins from the harbour. Go to the harbour and find the little booking office on the beach, they will put you on the next boat leaving. You don’t need to pre book. First boat departs around 7am and last boat about 5pm. The boat arrives at The Yellow Bridge between Ceningan and Lembongan islands. From there you can get a taxi from the many drivers waiting there.
We’ll be waiting for you! Have you heard the Sirens Call?
